SERVE at Home is a way for your family to spread kindness and help our community on your own, anytime, anywhere! We want to keep Austin volunteering all week long! Please RSVP on our calendar so we can let our non-profit partner know how many items to expect.

For this activity, you will work with your family at home to make That Time of the Month Packs for Caritas of Austin. These packs provide essential menstrual hygiene supplies to individuals in our community who may not have reliable access to them, helping support dignity, comfort, and basic needs.

Activity Requirements

• This activity is great for all ages!
• You will need to provide the supplies for this activity. You can complete this activity on your own anytime during the month.

Activity Directions

Purchase the following items and work together as a family to put them in a biodegradable disposable bag:

• 5 regular flow tampons
• 5 heavy flow tampons
• 10 pads
• 5 panty liners
• New Underwear (1 pair)
• Hand Sanitizer (travel size)
• Disposable Wipes
• Hot Pad
• Chocolate or Candy

We recommend making 1 pack, but if you are able to make more, that will be greatly appreciated.

Delivery Instructions:

When finished, you can drop the packs off at Caritas.

Drop-Off Instructions: Please call 512-479-4610 the day you plan to drop off so the staff is ready to collect your donation. For the Caritas staff's safety, as well as yours, they ask that all donations be dropped off at their loading dock on the side of the building directly across the street from the ARCH on 7th. There is a brown garage door. Ring the doorbell and the Pantry Aide will collect the donations.

Our SERVE at Home activities are a way for your family to spread kindness and help our community on your own, anytime, anywhere! Work with your family to complete this activity anytime during the month. Be sure to take pictures of your family working together on this project so we can certify your submission when you are done. We ask that SERVE at Home activities be completed within the month of the calendar listing or within 7 days of the listing, whichever time frame is longer.

After you RSVP for this event, we will send you an email with a form for you to submit your photos and let us know you've completed the activity!
