Activity Description
Help sort food at the Houston Food Bank. Tasks will vary from shift to shift. Most of the projects at the warehouse involve inspecting, sorting, and repackaging donated food items for community distribution.
Activity Requirements
- This Generation SERVE Houston activity is for ages 6 and up. All children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
- Please wear closed toed shoes, casual dress, long pants (preferred), t-shirt with sleeves. Bring work gloves if desired. Open-toed shoes are not allowed in the food pantry.
- This partner has required waivers in addition to our RSVP. Please be sure to complete all waivers linked in your RSVP confirmation email as soon as possible.
- This activity is a part of our Family Volunteering program and designed to be a family experience. At least two family members, including at least one adult, are required to work alongside each other for these activities and experience volunteerism together. Child drop-off is not allowed for this activity.
- Generation SERVE respects our partners' mask requirements as well as your family's decision around wearing masks.
