Support the Next-to-New consignment shop by helping them get the store ready for customers. You might be sweeping the sidewalks and store floors, washing the windows of the store front, or cleaning and organizing shelves. You might also get a chance to hone your retail skills by helping to organize merchandise, to tag items for sale, and to staff the check-out counter. Next-to-New has been operated by volunteers from the central Texas community since 1959. Please note: Next to New hosts volunteer opportunities for both Generation SERVE’s Family Volunteering program and Teen Service Days. Please review this activity description carefully to make sure the opportunity is the right fit for your family.

Activity Requirements

• Closed toed shoes are recommended.
• This activity is a part of our Teen Service Day program and designed as a drop off event for teens ages 13 & up. These events curated and led by our Teen Advisory Board members and are designed for teens to experience volunteering with peers, not their parents. Children under age 13 and adults are not allowed for this activity.

Next-to-New is a consignment shop and outreach ministry sponsored by St. David's Parish. The shop proceeds are donated to organizations that minister to disabled persons, medically fragile children, the homeless, the elderly, the working poor, victims of neglect and abuse, babies and children with HIV/AIDS, the terminally ill, cancer victims, and the hungry.
