Shoe Drive Fundraiser

Want an easy way to support Generation SERVE and earn volunteer hours? Join our Shoe Drive Fundraiser with Funds2Orgs! We’re collecting gently used shoes to help protect the environment and empower families around the world. Donated shoes will be repurposed and resold by small business owners in developing countries, creating sustainable jobs and keeping shoes out of landfills. Our goal is 3,000 pairs of shoes, and we’d love to reach our dream goal of 8,000 pairs! Start collecting through your friends, family, neighbors, church, or school! "Step Up for Service" Award

We will have two opportunities to earn up to 5 service hours each month (Nov & Dec). We’ll recognize the youth and their family who donate the most cumulative shoes at the end of our Shoe Drive with our “Step Up for Service” trophy.
Make sure to track the number of pairs you collect and submit photo proof using our SERVE at Home form after dropping off.

Drop-Off Info

• You can find all upcoming drop-off times and instructions here.
• Shoes must be gently used (no holes, tears, or rips)
• Tie each matching pair of shoes together through their laces or through a rubber band
• Please place all shoes in a clean trashbag

Earn Volunteer Hours

You can earn up to 5 service hours each month for your donations:

• 5 pairs = 1 hour
• 10 pairs = 2 hours
• 15 pairs = 3 hours
• 20 pairs = 4 hours
• 25 pairs = 5 hours (maximum hours each month, but we encourage you to collect more)

Who Can Participate

This activity is great for all ages! It’s part of our Family Volunteering program, so at least two family members, including one adult, should work together on this project.

SERVE at Home Activity Format Information + Submission of Proof

SERVE at Home activities are a way for your family to help our community at a time that suits your schedule! If you are new to this format of service, be sure to read all the details in the link before you RSVP. For this activity, please make sure all shoes are donated no later than December 18th. Please make sure to take a picture before or during your shoe drop off and submit the number of shoes donated through our SERVE at Home form.

After you RSVP, we will send you a confirmation email that includes a link to our SERVE at Home form for submission of the photos and information needed to cerifty that your family has completed this activity. This form must be submitted within 3 days of this calendar listing to earn service hours credit in our system, and submissions received after the deadline will not be accepted. SERVE at Home hours are entered manually and often take to 2 weeks for process.
